The Hero's Journey
Every great story follows a pattern - the hero's journey. The protagonist starts in their ordinary world, receives a call to adventure, faces challenges and trials, and ultimately returns transformed. This isn't just the structure of our favorite books and movies; it's the pattern of a life fully lived.
But here's the thing about hero's journeys - they always begin with fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of not being enough. The difference between a hero and everyone else isn't the absence of fear; it's the willingness to step forward in spite of it.

Jesus serves as our guide on this journey - not someone who removes all challenges, but someone who walks alongside us, showing us the way through. As the protagonist in your own life story, what worthy quest might Jesus be calling you to? What adventure awaits beyond your fear?

Jesus as Guide
Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus calling ordinary people to extraordinary adventures. Fishermen become disciples, tax collectors become apostles, and fearful followers become bold witnesses. Each person faced the choice between staying in their comfortable ordinary world or stepping into the unknown.
Jesus doesn't remove the challenges or guarantee an easy path. Instead, he serves as a guide - one who has walked the journey before us and can show us the way through. He provides wisdom, strength, and companionship for the adventure ahead.
The invitation to “Come, follow me” is always an invitation to a hero's journey. It's a call to leave behind what's familiar and comfortable to step into a story worthy of our lives - a story of transformation, purpose, and passionate living.
