Seeing Things Differently

Have you ever wondered if the world you see is the only way to see? What if there's a different vision, a different way to perceive reality? Just as a green screen can transport us to different backdrops, our minds can cause us to see the world in different ways depending on our beliefs and perceptions.

How often our perceptions trap us, causing us to be limited in the way we see the world and how we engage in the world. How our beliefs and our assumptions are holding us back. The way we see shapes everything.

How often do we pause to question the lens through which we see our world?

Because there's more than one way to look at things. Jesus emerges from the desert with the radical message: “Repent and believe, for the kingdom of God is near.” This is not just a call to change, it's a call to see differently. It's about metanoia - a complete transformation of mind and perception.

This episode explores the call to repentance and kingdom vision

Mark 1:15

Metanoia: A New Way of Seeing

Jesus emerges from the desert with a radical message: “Repent and believe, for the kingdom of God is near.” The word “repent” translates from the Greek word metanoia, which means much more than feeling sorry - it means a complete transformation of mind and perception.

This isn't just about changing behaviour; it's about seeing reality through an entirely different lens. The Kingdom of God represents a new way of perceiving and engaging with the world - one that challenges our preconceived notions and cultural assumptions.

Just as a green screen can change our backdrop entirely, Jesus calls us to step into a new reality where God's kingdom vision transforms how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us.
